Fifty days of Joy!
The church rejoices for fifty days
After the feast of Resurrection
Time where Jesus appears
Speaking to many of His disciples
Did you not now?
Do you have something to eat?
Was it not written?
For human eyes and ears
Those fifty days are needed
To adapt
To become radiant too
Readings
All do celebrate the victory of life over dead

The Resurrection
28 Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it.3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4 And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. 5 But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he[a] lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” 8 So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”Read full chapter

Hmm! Very short and truly insightful. A true celebration of the reawakening of our Lord Jesus Christ. The fifty days of joy where we celebrate the cruxification and the awakening of Jesus from death which has liberated us from sins and the powers of death. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece
Yes… we betrayed, sold and killed The Lord with our sins… many of them deadly…
He is the Lord of salvation… taking away the sins of the world
Hello Marayam, it’s nice to be in the spirit of Easter and I feel really happy indeed. He is resurrection was a fulfillment of the scripture and since then, many people believed in him. I am just learning about the fifty days after the resurrection and I would love to know more about it so I can teach my kids too. Thanks for sharing this wonderful information
The 40 days before Easter are called lent and the 50 days after Easter are called Eastern tides with apparitions to diciples and apostles. 40 days after Easter Jesus returs to His father, followed by 10 days of prayers for the Holy Spirit on Pentecost…. hence the 50 days of joy!
have blessed Easter time

Great website. It is a rich source of information about Mother Mary. You even provide readings and traditions of different denominations. We also love the addition of relevant videos as well as providing the link to Vatican news.Keep up the good work and for providing a medium for us to strengthen our faith in God and hope for the world, particularly in these challenging times.
Thank you!
She is our mother, the mother of all!
I must thank you for creating such an inspiring article,The video gave me so much inspiration as i felt the presence of God in the hymn. Joy that passeth all understanding is what we nned now, especially with the covid 19 pandemic causing fear all over the world. this has been a blessing to me
So happy with you!
Maria
There are so many occasions in which people celebrate Easter and really don’t stop to think about it.
There was a man that lived among us. He died. It was a public death. Everybody saw him die (he was killed on a very congested crossroad and the sign on top of his cross was written in the 3 major languages spoken in those days).
Once he was put in a sepulcher, guards were placed outside of it. Yeah, leaders in that day feared his body could be stolen. So they secured it as safe as they could.
Guess what happened? He came back to life! Why has the Gospel been spread throughout the whole World? Imagine the effect on a person that believed in Jesus, seeing him disfigured in such a way and 3 days later seeing him alive again.
But the main point is this. We can hear this story so many times that it becomes common ground. Because it was such a public event and we can see it’s trustworthiness even in the psychological impact it had on those humble Jesus followers that were whiling even to die sharing these great truths, we can’t deny something supernatural occurred.
We as human beings are proud. It’s uncomfortable for us to embrace things we can’t understand. But how can you explain the world-known-fact that this man died and lived again? All this was done for just one purpose, and here is the message you should consider:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Amen!
Happy Eastertime in the joy of OUR risen Lord!

I am so happy seeing this article is about Easter celebration, the season of the dealth and resurrection of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, who was convinced by a virgin named Mary Magdalene. And that man was disgraced, humiliated, insulted and was crucifies for our sake. He defeated dealth for us. Oh Glory hallelujah. Amen Amen Amen Jesus Reigns.
Amen!
