Holy Thursday
A day of splendor
The institution
Of the Eucharist
The washing of the feet
The humble Servant
The agony of Gethsemany
Can you not wake
One hour with Me
Betrayal and denial
By His closest friends
The fake judgement
And ill trial
Hours of darkness
Biblical reference
Luke 22:39-46
Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. On reaching the place, he said to them,
“Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”
He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed,
“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”
An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, he found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow.
“Why are you sleeping?”
he asked them.
“Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.”

Holy Thursday one of my favourite time where i take out time to meditate and connect with the father…its one of the moments that actually draw us closer to God and in remembrance of the holy life our Lord Jesus lived before left the earth. This article has inspired and strengthened my faith in our lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
Mine as well… reading so many beautiful testimonies. Thank you!
Taking the passion and suffering of so many and offering it to the Father

It is good to remember that this week the celebration of Easter ideally goes on for eight days, and is also known as the Octave of Easter. After His baptism, Jesus spent forty days in a desert. To commemorate those days in the Jesus of life, Christians spend these forty days, which marks the period of Lent, and lead a life of self-denial, or fasting. It is always nice to see that, in these difficult days, someone reminds us of Holy Week with a simple article.
Thank you Fabio…
have a blessed Tridium (thursday, friday and Saturday before Eastern)
Very informative site. Praise be to God for all that he has done for us, especially in these dark times. Things occurring around the world are happening and there are a lot of struggles. We all need to learn to trust in God and pray that his will be done and only then will we as humans achieve great results. First seek the kingdom of heaven and all else will be given to us. God bless
Let us keep faith indeed… and praise the Most High!
Those past months have created so much awareness and solidarity all around the world
and learned us how fragile we are…
Thank you Dave.
stay blesed

Hello there, thank you for your cover on the holy Thursday. Especially at a time like this, where the covid-19 is spreading so widely, a lot of the people often forget the most important thing in life, which is God. He is above us all and that we have to always remember to pray to him at all times, whether its good or bad times. I really do like your article on this, especially the part of biblical reference. We will never go wrong if we always refer back to our bible, on the word of God. Temptation, is a very dangerous way of falling out of faith. The world is heading off to so many different directions, and with social media going strong, temptations also grow stronger over time. Im glad that you have covered that in your article as well, as it really did gave me a ‘reminder’ on the worldly elements. I really did enjoyed my read on your blog, and do keep up the good work. I hope for you to stay safe and stronger in faith during this hard time!
Thank you!
Let us join in prayer…. stay blessed
