The Lady from Heaven
My humble friend
Were are you going?
To your church
To see your priests
tell them that I, in person
the ever-virgin Holy Mary
Mother of God, sent you
And so he did but,
They did not believe him
And asked for a sign
Gather those roses
And give them to the bishop
And so he did
Unfolding his mantel
Her image appeared
For all to see
Till this day
Her last words to Juan Diego
“Hear me and understand well, my son the least, that nothing should frighten or grieve you. Let not your heart be disturbed. Do not fear that sickness, nor any other sickness or anguish. Am I not here, who is your Mother? Are you not under my protection? Am I not your health? Are you not happily within my fold? What else do you wish? Do not grieve nor be disturbed by anything. Do not be afflicted by the illness of your uncle, who will not die now of it. be assured that he is now cured.”
“Climb, my son the least, to the top of the hill; there where you saw me and I gave you orders, you will find different flowers. Cut them, gather them, assemble them, then come and bring them before my presence.”
“My son the least, this diversity of roses is the proof and the sign which you will take to the bishop. You will tell him in my name that he will see in them my wish and that he will have to comply to it. You are my ambassador, most worthy of all confidence. Rigorously I command you that only before the presence of the bishop will you unfold your mantle and disclose what you are carrying. You will relate all and well; you will tell that I ordered you to climb to the hilltop, to go and cut flowers; and all that you saw and admired, so you can induce the prelate to give his support, with the aim that a temple be built and erected as I have asked.”
No estoy yo aquí que soy tu Madre? ( PALABRAS DE LA SANTISIMA VIRGEN DE GUADALUPE AL BEATO JUAN DIEGO EN EL TEPEYAC DICIEMBRE DE 1531.)
I totally disagree.
Why do religious people look at the mother as if she were God?
Jesus played a bigger part than her.
Jesus is part of the Trinity.
Did Mary have disciples?
Was Mary the teacher and master?
Did she heal the sick?
Did she have the spiritual gifts Christ had?
No.
She is not my mom.
She should not be an idol.
The bible says to not have idolatry.
Hi Linda,
Thank you for reading and commenting… I agree. We shall only worship Most High…
She remains His mother and as such I honour her, just as I honour my parents… which is also a divine command.
She is also the first diciple and the words about her in the New testament leave no doubt about her: ‘mother of The Highest’…
As a Woman I find great guidance in her life, the way she listenend to her Son, meditated His words, followed Him … and was wIth Him in the most painfull moments of His life, where all the others left… And the shadow of the Highest was upon her… AND Jesus on the cross said to his disciple John: ‘behold YOUR mother’.
The bible warns for false prohets, doing miracles. I do not believe because of miracles, I believe in Salvation which is not the same…
Linda is an old celtic name that means healing… does it make you God? No, of course not…
So yes, I honour her as the mother of the Highest, not as a godess. And my site tries to show how she was honoured throughout centuries.
Stay blessed, peace be with you
Maria
Please refer to the marvelous translations of the annunciation in old greek, the language of Luke’s gospell 1.26- 1.38
How shall this be?
Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy being which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Linda, I write this at Christmas season… Advent. As you imply, and I agree, Jesus is the reason for the season. This season involves Mary, as His Mother. You have many “did” questions, such as did Mary play a big part, heal, have disciples, have spiritual gifts that Jesus had, teach? The answer to all is yes, then and since then, especially now. Numerous apparitions of Mary have occurred over time, and in all apparitions she points to Jesus, repeatedly asking us to pray. Prayer is communicating with God, which includes the most important element of listening to Him. Can you imagine getting to Heaven and Jesus saying, “I had such great plans for you, but you never gave me a chance to tell you what the plan was. You always did all the talking, but not listening.” Mary’s last recorded words in the Bible are, “Do as He tells you.” Obviously we need to hear what we are asked to do by Him, and that is Mary’s message from that time to this. Mary could have no greater part to play than this. In fact, her message at Guadalupe, a December message, includes these words to Juan Diego… “Go and do your part.” He did, for the remainder of his life. Peace.
